Get ready to dive back into the world of Dead Cells! The long-awaited animated series, Dead Cells: Immortalis, just released a full trailer, revealing a release date, a quirky new animation style, and a surprising twist for the mute protagonist.

The trailer, produced by Bobbypills (the studio behind the game’s animated trailers) and the French streaming service Animation Digital Network, shows off a vibrant, almost cartoony animation style that diverges from the teaser released last year.

The most shocking revelation? The Beheaded, the mute protagonist of the game, can now talk! The trailer introduces him as “The Chosen One” and reveals he’s accompanied by a character named Laurie Esposito, Guardian of the Truth.

While the trailer hints at plenty of action-packed scenes, the overall tone is surprisingly silly, suggesting the series won’t be taking itself too seriously.

Dead Cells: Immortalis will debut on June 19, initially in French with English subtitles. An English-language version is expected later this year.
